I’m Robin Fisher and I’m running for re-election to the Brevard County Commission, District 1 seat in this upcoming 2012 election.  I have been working hard these past several years focusing on economic growth, the creation of quality jobs, and maintaining our quality of life.  This continues to be a pivotal time for our county and I hope that you will help the county government remain focused on these crucially important issues by allowing me to serve you in a second term.

I grew up in Brevard County; a lot has changed over the years!  But thanks to effective comprehensive planning, a world-class open space program, and a commitment to provide and fund basic human services, the county has been able to sustain a high quality of life and remain a compassionate community.

The county needs strong and visionary leadership to continue important collaborations with key employers who are helping in the transition of the Space Coast economy as it shifts towards a greater mix of  private, commercial-based industries with a lesser reliance on federally funded programming.  I have been working hard to ensure that the county plays an appropriate role in facilitating this transition.

We need County Commissioners who are able to work together, to preserve our land and quality of life. Our economic health is directly tied to the quality of our environment.  I will continue to work with you, the taxpayer, to create stable jobs for a stable economy while managing your tax dollars as if they were my own.

I have a long and successful career in business, community and public service. I am committed to my neighbors, my business clients, my family and my friends; and I am especially committed to serving those who may be disadvantaged or underserved in our community.

We are well on our way to a stronger and brighter future for Brevard County, and I welcome the opportunity to continue to serve you.
